Wanted to get some thoughts on which tractor to buy. I looked at a Kubota B2650 and the Kioti CK27. I wondered if anyone out there in the know would say which is the better tractor. I know the Kioti is heavier and bigger than the B2650. I only want it for snow removal and nothing else. Whatever tractor I pick will only have the loader and a snow blower. The Kioti is a bit cheaper but I have read horror stories about the comfort Kab that Kioti sells for the CK 27. I know for the CK20, it's horror story because I had one and just sold the entire unit. The thing would deafen you even with all the soundproofing they give you and it was a nightmare to install. The Kubota dealer tells me their cab is a factory cab and is very quiet and also has AC - the Kioti cab does not offer this for the CK 27. Other than the cab, the Kioti seems like the better deal money-wise. It's a larger, heavier and more powerful tractor for less money but if the cab is like the one I put on the CK20, and I'm sure it's the same, it's not worth having. I hope to order the one I pick this week once I get the pros and cons about each machine. I have seen the CK 27 but have not seen the Kubota B2650 - only seen pictures of it on the internet and on youtube. It certainly looks much smaller than the CK 27 - to be honest, from the pictures, it looks as small as the CK 20 I just sold. Any thoughts before I decide to buy? Any input would be appreciated.

If it were me, and I was buying a cab tractor, it would be a factory unit, with heat and A/C.
If the Kubota is too small and light, you might have to look elsewhere, or go with a bigger tractor, you already had the comfort cab so theres not point in going there again.

Might have to step up to a DK40, or one of these new LS XR3037 units if you want to stay smaller, I have no idea what they cost, LS Tractor XR Series cab models reviewed by RCOTractor.com - YouTube

I like the look of the LS tractor but the closest dealer is over eight hours away one way. That's a bit far for service. I like the DK series from Kioti but here in Canada, they are much too expensive. The B2650 here is over thirty thousand plus taxes and that puts the L series tractors closer to forty thousand plus taxes. The kioti is the best priced tractor by far but unless you're willing to pay lots of money for the DK series, you're stuck with the CK line and they all use that same comfort cab that is really not great. With the kind of winters we have here, especially this past winter, there is no way to not have a cab. We still have five feet of snow on the ground and snow banks are over ten feet high and it's the middle of April. I wish I could see a B2650 in person to compare them to the CK27 to see the physical difference in both. The dealer has none on the lot and it will be some time before he has one for display. He will order one in for me if I take it right away but not to have one sit on the lot for display.

I really wanted a cab (to protect from heat and sun, not snow). But I ended up with a CK27 without a cab.

Didn't want the available cab for the CK27 and couldn't afford the D series, so I got the tractor I wanted and will put up with the lack of a cab (and lack of AC).

You're in a tough spot. You really need to see and try a B2650 with cab to be sure.

Yes, it's hard to make a decision without actually seeing it. I can't go by what's showing on the internet as far as pictures and videos. It seems to me that the b2650 is much smaller than the ck27 - If not for the comfort cab, I would get the ck27 without any more thought. I know it's a good tractor but it's the cab that I don't like and where I live, you really need a cab. My thinking is that the b2650 is no larger than the b2620 or am I wrong in thinking that?

The size specs are a little larger than the B2620...more like the B3200. Will the CK27 run a larger snowblower or would the size snowblower be the same for either tractor? With the limited use you outlined and IF the Kubota cab is better than the Kioti based on your experience and these are your only two options it seems the choice would be pretty clear...any other brand dealers closer than the LS?

Btw, I just did a google search on "kubota b2650 with cab" and there are photos and some videos (one from driver's perspective) of the tractor that will give you a better idea of size.

Seems like the OP is quite particular about the Cab. With that, it would be wise test drive any make before buying.

I would also stick with a FACTORY cab if going the cab route ... but it seems like you already figured that out. If Kubota is your only option then, I guess you'll have to stick with them. I don't mind driving a bit for a dealer (and I really like the LS I had) but 8 hours would be way too much for me.

What about the B3000 ? 30HP, 23 @ PTO. The loader isn't gonna win any awards, but it's not terrible either. http://www.kubota.com/product/B3000/pdf/b3000_spec.pdf Or, you could step up to the Grand L3240/3260 with cab. Definitely more expensive, but more capable also.

Here's a low-hour B3030 near me on CL for $23,500 : 2012 KUBOTA B3030 WITH FACTORY CAB !!!!!!!!

The cab on the B3030 is real nice. If going to step up to a grand L, then might also consider the JD 3000 series. Those cabs are real nice too.
