Kubota B20 Motor Interchangeable?

I am curious what other engines would fit in a Kubota B20? Or what other Kubotas have the Kubota D950-A-T Motor in it?

Hope you find something. There are many applications that use that engine platform with some differences.
My B20 had an injector fail and hydro lock on diesel. Looked for months without luck. What makes that engine unique is that it drives the hydraulic pump out the front from the crankshaft. I got conflicting info on which 950- engines were designed to be able to that, ie main bearings.
Had the B20 for 27 years, 3300hrs and a great, tough machine. Sold with bad engine for more than half of what I paid. Tried several other tractors and machines to replace without satisfaction. Finally bought B26. Wife thinks it’s hers but I get to use it too.

Yea I got screwed. Paid 11,500 blew a whole in block after just about 8 hours of use... they are building an engine right now for me. Said they need my old one to finish it due to not being able to order some parts. Hoping to find an interchangeable engine for the future if needed.

What parts in particular? Crankshaft? Block? I would think you can repair the hole in the block if there is no damage to machined surfaces.

I will probably be splitting a B20 shortly, to repair tranny seals.

I am not sure. The company called me qnd said they cannot build it they need my old motor to do it. They said the block is not the problem. He can replace that. He said "There is just simply to many small parts that I cannot get" he started naming some but I cant remember honestly. Ordered and paid for it 2 weeks ago and thought that was the call saying it is done..

I suspect that if the rebuilder acquired a D950 engine from something other than a B20 tractor, they are going to need all sorts of parts that are tractor-related: esp. the hyd pumps and mounts, and the connection to the HST.

BTW, the B20 I have worked on had TWO hydraulic pumps: one off the front crank, and one off the side of the engine.
