3-Point Hitch Kubota B21 3. lift

I have a B21 Kubota that needs a 3 point hitch (lower link, lifting rods, turnbuckles, top link etc). Have scoured the net, eBay and of course the local dealers. Unfortunately, Kubota only offers the B21 hitch in ala carte pieces that add up in the $650. range. I heard that the B26 assembly will work on a B21 (and is a couple hundred less), so I emailed Kubota to verify. Naturally, their response was "sorry but it's not compatable". Now, I understand Kubota's position, liability and such, but in the real world, does anyone know one way or the other if the B26 hitch will work on a B21?

I know that I bought a B26 3 point hitch package and that it contained everything I needed to hook up a 5' bush hog. I have not tried the box blade yet. So in my opinion it works just fine.

Yes, I hooked up a 5' bushhog to my b21 using the 3 point hitch package for a B26. I trailered the bushhog twice while attached to the B21 and mowed about 8 acres with it. The bushhog was borrowed from one of our larger farm tractors so it did not fit perfectly but it worked. It was a very heavy, older, John Deere bushhog. I believe I paid around $450 for the B26 package.

Sounds good. I think i'll do the same thing. My 4' brush hog should work fine with that setup. I appreciate the info, and if anyone else has anything they could share I would appreciate that too.

Also the 3 point linkage parts fit correctly in the B21 storage locations. So they must be the same sizes.
