Kubota B21 TLB AF in oil pan

My oil level was high so I changed the oil and filter now the oil is high again and my radiator is losing antifreeze. I assume the AF is the cause of my hi level. Now my question is this the head gasket or worse? There is no overheating tractor runs fine.It did overheat when the fan belt broke but not for long. I just bought this machine so it might have been pre existing. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Glad to see another B21 owner!

The B21 does not have an AF overflow tank and will piss out fluid if you try to keep it full. This may trick you into believing you’re consuming AF.

Oil level can increase due to AF or diesel leaking into it. I would send an oil sample to one of the testing labs. The results will tell you if any AF or diesel is present, plus a bunch of other info. This information will help determine the best course to correct the problem.

According to the Kubota Work Shop Manual, AF in the oil means head gasket (if you’re lucky), cracked block or head. Diesel in the oil means either the injector(s) or injection pump is worn/broken.

<b>fungus</b>, thanks for the reply.Nope I am definitely losing AF. I would think that a HG would cause compression into the cooing system and cause a boil over. Got any idea where I can find a schematic of the oil and water passages in the head /block? Ever see the specs for shaving a Kubota head? Thanks Ed /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
