Kubota B21

OK B21 owners..............now is your time to sound off. I am a former JD owner and am now considering the purchase of a B21. I know all the specs so I am not looking for that.......I am looking for opinions on ease of operation, maintenace, parts cost, ergonomics, what you would change, what you hate, what made you buy it and.........if you had your choice and a few more thousand dollars would you buy the B21 again or something diffrent the next time around.

I have used a b21 and close to 40 hours on a b26. B21 is a great machine. Really well built and can take the abuse of the hoe. Hoe has strong hydraulics considering its size.

There are a few areas that need improvement on a b21. Like the seat . you couldnt have come up with a worse seat arrangement for a backhoe. There are other little ergonomic things too, but they arent deal breakers.

The b26 takes those little problems and improves them 100x. THe seat is MUCH better, and its a traditional rotate style instead of the flip over on the b21. It has great lighting. The ergonomics, espically for the joystick are much improved. It has factory mounts for a thumb, plus it has a curved boom.

All in all, a b21 is a really good machine, but the b26 takes that good machine and makes it better. If the moneys in the cards id go b26, but you wont be dissapointed in the b21. Power wise the machines are essentially equal IMHO.
