Kubota B2320 won't start, new charged battery

Old battery failed, wouldn't charge, so I got a new one, charged it fully. Battery light on dash does not come on, no sound at all when turning key to start. Fuses are all good. Tried all positions on PTO, clutch pushed or not, can't find any dangling wires.

Check both ends of the battery cables.

Yes, terminals are good and tight. I used jumper cables from battery to starter terminal and no change. Also jumper from battery to ground. With key on, the oil light is on and the glow plug light will come on in that position. The battery light is not on at all.

I can start and run the machine by shorting the solenoid with a wrench.

No click or anything when key is turned? Have you checked all the safety switches, for PTO lever, HST pedal, seat switch, etc??? Any of them can defeat starting in different ways. May have nothing to do with the battery swap. If you bumped the PTO lever at some point, it could just need to be reset or jiggled.

Likely a safety switch. The hydro pedal can stick, try moving it while turning the key. Also make sure the pro lever is in the off position.

Check the ignition switch wires or the switch itself.

I took the ignition switch apart and there was no damage. It has to be something like that. Not going to be one of the safety switches because the battery light does not come on when key is on, but oil light does light. I wish I could find a wiring schematic for it. That would help a lot to search for the problem.

See if you accidentally disconnected a wire. I can't tell which one but my B2620 wouldn't start after I ran through some brush. Finally found a small wire was off near the starter selenoid.
