Kubota b3030 dipstick issues

Hey guys, im needing some help with my kubota b3030 cab. The cheap dip stick snapped off from the top. By that i mean the actual stick that goes in the oil disconected some how from the cap? I dont know if i should just leave it and buy a new one or try and get it out some how? thanks

I'd say you need to get it out for sure. Does it have a dipstick tube you could maybe remove to gain access to it?

Im really not sure what that is. And even if I did know, how would I even get it out of that dang thing since its plastic not metal

The tube the dipstick goes in. It's connected to the engine block. Here is a diagram picture of what I mean. Parts for Kubota B3030HSD

Well then im pretty sure it doesnt after looking at the diagram. I was checking/replacing the oil in all my tractors when I unscrewed the cap and the stick attatches to it was gone. So I looked down the hole where the cap went and im 90% sure theres no tube, just a hole, because when I look down the hole, I can see the valve tappets

I am :confused2: because the oil dipstick is no where near the valves. Are you confusing the oil filler cap with the dipstick? The filler cap does not have a dipstick.
Maybe you could post a picture.

Ya what I unscrewed had to have been the oil filler cap. Then where is the dipstick located?

Not to come across as a jerk, but if you own a $20,000 tractor and don't know where the oil dipstick is, you need to park it immediately. Read your manual or get somebody to help you before you hurt yourself or wreck the machine. I'll take my lumps for being that direct, but sorry, it needed to be said.

Im also glad to let you know im a 14 year old kid and like to find things out on my own? The cheap kubota owners manual doesnt say anything or show any diagrams about the dipstick.

I promise I won't tell your dad you're messing around with his tractor. That's how I learned too. Surprised to hear the user's manual is that bad. I found the shop manual pretty disappointing for the money, but the user's manual was OK on my model.

Ya some people such as nspec need to just not post things that are.just totally unnecessary? Ha but whatever and yes I dont have a shop manual, which would probably be a lot more detailed.

:laughing: Funny. Kudos KSKid for taking the time to check the condition of the tractor before trying to work it. It probablely would be a good idea to take an hour or so at the tractor with manual in hand learning about it and how to correctly operate it. Maybe have someone go over the details with you after you have read the manual. Put safety first anytime you are around equipment.

You guys obviously didnt read the fact that its my dads tractor. HE does all the maintenance on it. I probably shouldve just asked him where the dipstick was rathet than asking all you who were skipping english and cant read.
