Oil & Fuel Kubota B3030 Engine Oil

My Kubota B3030 is used mostly for mowing and backhoe/front end loader work in the summer, it just turned over to 60hrs, I have been using 15w40 Mobile Devcon. I have a good supply of Mobile ESP 5W40 Synthetic oil. Is this a good oil to run in my Kubota B3030.

Because we have a silly number of cars,trucks and tractors around our house I made the decision along time ago to standardise the oil for all units.
I settled on Co-op diesel DMO 0-40 full synthetic for everything. As this meets or exceeds all the various requirements I have had absolutely no oil related problems.

Use the synthetic, you will never have a problem with it.:thumbsup:

I use Mobil 5w40 synthetic year around in my B3030. I wanted an oil than would offer protection in hot weather and good starting in cold weather. After 5 years and 375 hrs I am happy with it. I think you will be, too.

Your statement is completely incorrect. :thumbdown: I pulled this directly off of Kubota's Engine America website here: Kubota Engine America - Compact Diesel Engines
Q: Can I use synthetic oil in my Kubota engine?
A: Kubota recommends oil with an API rating of CF or higher. If the synthetic oil meets those standards, it can be used in Kubota engines.

In addition, NOWHERE in my B3030 Owner's Manual does it make any statements against using synthetic engine oils.

I have 300 hours on my machine, and have been running synthetic engine oil, of the proper API service rating, per the Owner's Manual, since the 50 hour mark, and am about to do my 300 hour service, complete with synthetic engine oil.

Engine runs great, as most any engine will when running synthetics, which are far superior to non-synthetic oils, as numerous oil analyses I've had done over the past 10 years of running diesels, have shown.

Synthetics also give you much better protection in extreme high and low temperature engine and ambient air conditions.

Nothing mysterious or unique about Kubota, we have used different brands over the years. We are using Kubota right now, but may go to something else. As noted, nothing wrong with synthetic.

The misinformation regarding synthetic oils remains, even after all these years. The typical synthetic oil begins life a dino oil and then is processed to provide for increased abilities, then, like dino, additive packages are put in.

One might get the idea that synthetic motor oil was imported from Pluto or something. Oh wait, is Pluto still a planet or not?

I use Mobil 1 5w-40 in my Kubota, as well as every other gasoline or diesel enigne I own, 18 in total. I have 2 used oil analysis back on my L3940 and the reports are excellent. There is only one oil on my shelf, and it is Mobil 1 5w-40. Philip

I will use Mobil 1 10W-30 in my new MX5100, same as what I use in several of our cars. It is rated CF, which is acceptable according to the owner's manual, widely available (including Walmart), and relatively inexpensive (compared to other synthetics anyway).
