Kubota B3350

Friend of mine has just purchased a B 3350 they were mainly just idling the engine a lot using it around the yard and it went into regenerate cycle then parked regenerate and the warning lights came on . I got the manual out and we revved the engine up to do the cycle the 30 minutes to finish,the regenerate lights both went off but the check engine light and buzzer are still on. Anyone know how to reset it?

The B3350 is a known problem machine. Kubota has numerous TSB'S That should be completed on the dpf system, and I believe Kubota has extended the emissions warranty on the DPF for the life of the machine. Your friend needs to have the machine looked at by a Kubota dealer, and he may be in for a very unpleasant journey.

Kubota supposedly put a lifetime warranty on the B3350 engine. Now; I don't know if that warranty follows the machine or if it's specific to the original owner only or...... What.

The system on the B3350 was designed BY the EPA to meet THEIR guidelines. True dat.

But, after years of problems, I think Kubota may have stepped up. Or not. Talk to a Dealer.

Do a search here on the B3350. There is a lot that has been written. Then contact your dealer.

Hope he got it dirt cheap because they are inherently problematic machines.

From what I've read, the lifetime emission warranty is on the tractor rather than original owner. Otherwise they couldn't be sold.
So I'd let the dealer do the work. and if he didn't do them right I'd consider other options.

There has got to be a way to get rid of the problem parts and get back to a standard tractor. Anyone have any ideas?

Nothing at all wrong with the tractor or the motor. The issue is the screwed up emissions hardware. Kubota calls it a 'reformer' and it is problematic. Just a bad design that didn't work. I haven't a clue about that...Getting rid of the parts.

Your friend is in for months if not years of hassle with the regen system on that machine. They were sold a tractor with a very, very problematic emissions system. It has a ECM so deleting will be more difficult, probably not worth the hassle. I recommend they sell it.

And mainly idling such a machine is what leads to the emissions problems, run them hot and hard to avoid clogged DPF filters.
