Not really, The reformer was Kubota's first attempt at catalyist emissions reduction and it has inherent design flaws, why Kubota FINALLY stepped up to the plate and offers a lifetime warranty on the engine and components, but it wasn't until they were threatened with legal action. Running them hard and hot has little bearing on the failure of the reformer to operate correctly actually. My dealer has a couple unsold ones out front that he really don't want to sell. I keep thinking I could get one cheap but he most likely would not sell me one anyway.

For clarification, your dealer has a few of these older B machines sitting unsold- not just the emissions components? Good on them, for doing what they feel they can to protect their customer base. That said, these years later I'd be selling them at a discount with a full disclosure regarding their issues.

They'd be a good buy for some *********, somewhere. :LOL:

Though I've never asked, I'm not sure he can sell them as new with a warranty. I'll have to ask sometime. Too small for me.

Indirectly that's true, however the B3350 fails to enter and/or complete the Regen process when required. Idling will result in more frequent regens with a greater chance of failure.
Kubota did try to force the narrative that these problems were the result of operator error.
I'm splitting hairs with my comment though... DPF machines should not be unnecessarily idled as you state.

The current crop of T4 final machines, the regen cycle will result in the engine ramping up in rpm by itself so idling or not is inconsequential in reality.
