Recently acquired an old B6200 2WD with belly mower. Had been sitting in a barn for years.
Drained ALL fluids and serviced it out to the MAX. Very low hours on mower.

Mowed with it for 3-4 hours, then the blades just quit turning. No bangs, clangs screeching, smoking.. the blades just stopped.
I figured the main belt has broken. But no. And the rear PTO was not affected.

Took it to the barn and pulled the panel off of the housing that is located low at the very front of the mower. Two belts there. One was broken. Replaced and figured problem solved. Nope, drive shaft still not turning.

Put a pipe wrench on drive shaft to see if it would turn. It does, but on each revolution, i can hear/feel a scrape at the same spot per turn.

A friend mentioned it could be the bearings in the gear box that sits atop of mowing deck. I'm not sure if it has bearings.

Any input appreciated!

See there is a tag on the mower deck.
