Chances are what looks like a water pump has a dynamo attached to one side. If so there is no water pump or thermostat but there should be a whistle on the rad overflow tube that signals high temperature.

If the assembly is being held on by one bolt now bend a 10 mm combination wrench to fit. Makes the removal of that one bolt easy. Some folks use a ratcheting wrench.
