Earlier this year the lift mechanism for the rear three point implement hitch quit working when the lift lever was pulled back. I then discovered that if I pushed the lever to the right and pulled back firmly the three point hitch would raise. I emphasize that it only works when lever is pushed to the right while pulling back to the implement lift position. It also seems that it doesn't raise the implement as high as I would expect. The tractor is a 1997 model with 518 hours. It has a loader and a just purchased five foot rear scraper blade and no power steering. I bought a "kubota 7300 Workshop Manual today but I haven't found anything that might address this issue. I have checked the hydraulic fluid level and it's OK and looked clean on dipstick. I did adjust part of the linkage under the seat (looks like a spring loaded stop) and that did nothing to resolve the issue. I plan to replace the hydraulic fluid tomorrow, replace filter, and clean the strainer. I have never done this before but from videos and operator's manual I should be able to accomplish this. What is the next step if this doesn't resolve the rear implement lift issue? The nearest Kubota is dealer is over 50 miles away in both directions and I don't have a trailer rated to carry that much weight for that distance.

Check all mechanical connections from the the lift lever to the final entry into the internals of the transmission. I suspect that there is a problem in the linkage, not the actual hydraulics.

Yes check, there is a roll pin that might be broke. The pin might be in a hard spot to see and to put another one in.

I had that exact problem and fixed it.

Another on checking the linkage.

It also seems that it doesn't raise the implement as high as I would expect.

At lower ends of vertical Lifting Rods, on right and left hand sides of Three Point Hitch, there are stirrups with two adjustment holes. The upper hole is the default position.

If the stirrup is pinned in the lower of the two adjustment holes mounted implements are carried lower and do not lift as high.
