Kubota B7800 Engine Dies Randomly

I have a 3 yo Kubota B7800 that, until recently, has been running beautifully. Over the past day or so it has developed a tendency to die unexpectedly. It is not overheating and there seems to be a correlation to the amount of stress put on the engine (either driving up a hill or engaging the belly mower) and its tendency to cut out. All fluids are topped off and it has fresh diesel in it. Thoughts?

Try changing fuel filter and cleaning air filter. Make sure the fuel is good and not gelled or has water/trash in it.
In CA, I'm sure it's not gelled, sorry.

yea that was my thought too, Fuel or air starvation when you ask for more power

Sounds like fuel problem if it was starving for air it would blow black smoke. Water or dirty fuel filter would be my guess.

Sorry for your problems. Could also be electrical, check connection at shutoff soloniod and plug in on injection pump. Does it always crank? if not might be a loose or bad battery connection which would cause fuel shutoff soloniod to kick out, shutting off fuel. Food for thought.

What about the kill switch under the seat that shuts it off with no operator? Could be bad?

My 7510 did the same thing. It was the shut off switch under the seat. Stopped for no reason. Sometimes it would start, sometimes not. Now the engine runs when I get off the tractor when the pto is going though.
