Has anyone else had trouble with replacing their fuel filter for their Kubota? I tried replacing my fuel filter on my b8200 I just got, and the opening on the filter was just a little too small to fit. I went back to the local Kubota dealer and they basically shrugged their shoulders and said to use fine grade sandpaper to "make it fit". Someone out there must have a better suggestion. I already tore up one filter trying to cram it on. Thanks, Brad

Are you sure the metal top of the old filter didn't pull off and is still on the filter housing. It is the only way I have ever had a filter that wouldn't go on.
I don't think so. I took off the housing assembly to try and file off some of the spout (outside). The previous filter had a plastic top and bottom; not like the new filters they give you that have alluminum. I'll double check - I just kind of gave up and fit the new one on the best I could. It just never really "seated" on well and seemed like it relied on the filter bowl to keep it in place snug. Let me know if that's how those filters are suppose to be in there. The old filter fit more snuggly inside. The previous owner didn't have the o ring which gives even less room for the filter to fit on.
