Hi out there, hope someone can help.....
Have a old Kubota B8200, with a Hydro-stat-trans, it's been laid up a while....drove OK and then suddenly stopped driving, in either forward or reverse, it does however seem to slow the engine a tad at tick-over when u engage either F/R......
there's no oil leaks and there's no mechanical disaster noises, nobody else has been near it.....
the rear diff part of the gearbox is full of clean oil....is this the same oil used in the hydro part of the trans ??
just one other thing, hydraulic oil was found to be getting into the engine oil, but it's now had a new pump fitted and there was a stuck pressure relief valve......!!!!!!!!
are there any simple checks I can do ??????
I have heard that for this type of problem it is not cost effective to repair the trans but replace it with a factory exchange unit, the cost will probably write the tractor off, which would be a shame.......
so any ideas would be most welcome.....
thanks Frank
