Kubota B9200 ??

Thanks for the info varmint. I have very worn ag tires on my 9200 and don't have a loader. So far the steering has been very easy, but it takes a lot of turns of the steering wheel to get around my trees while mowing (and I have a lot of trees /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif). If it wouldn't be for the spinner I put on the steering wheel it would get old real quick. I'd rather have R4's than the ags, but hopefully the ags will last until I can think about trading the 9200 up to a 2910 several years from now.

I'm loving the 60" MMM. My mowing time (not counting trimming) went from 6 hours per week down to 3.5 hours. I spent part of Saturday with the box blade leveling off an old fence row I tore out last year to prep it for seeding and ripped up the garden to let it air out. I'm renting a tiller Friday (weather permitting) to work everything up at my place and at a friends. I love finally having a tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here is a pic of the B9200 with the box blade attached earlier this spring. And here is a pic of the 'bota with the tiller I rented. I don't have a pic of the MMM yet. So far everything is holding up fine.

Don't let the hours bother you too much. The prison where I work has a 1986 L2850 2wd that has over 20,000 hrs on it and the only repairs have been three alternators, several(!!) sets of tires, and 1 clutch( courtesy of a bone headed inmate). It is stored in a heated building and receives regular maintenance. This tractor was the biggest selling point for a kubota to me when I bought my first one and have never looked back!!

I just re-read your thread of posts, and noticed I had mentioned in my reply that I hadn't (at the time) yet installed my power steering kit on my B8200. Well, I have, and I recommend it without reservation. It works seamlessly at any engine RPM, makes driving around with a loaded bucket no more work than with an empty bucket. If you steer a lot, you'll be glad to have it. Whatever hydraulic power it consumes isn't much, or noticeable.

Hello men. I just wanted to get on the board as a B9200 owner. I bought it used about 15 years ago with 320 hours on it. It's been a great little tractor. It's a 4x4, ag tires, loader, manual trans and steering. I've used and abused this thing and she keeps on going. I currently have the rear wheels off and am looking for replacement tires, and I'm thinking of getting them foam filled. It's used around an old farm and I'm always finding new sharp objects that I did'nt know were there I take it from reading that finding the 13.6-16 tires might be a hassle?

I have a B9200. Last week I ordered a full set of Titan AG's
and was told they would be here in a couple day's, so I
had the tire shop dismount my old AG's so I could clean up
and re-paint my wheels while waiting.

A couple day's went by & no call, so I called them back.
I was told these tire sizes are out of stock & Titan will be
making more in about 6 weeks! Yes, 6 weeks!

Wish I would have known that before I broke-down my
old tires.

It's a good thing I don't make a living with my B9200.

I guess you may find Firestone rear tires. The problem
is Carisle is the only company other than Titan, that
makes the front tire for our tractor. I want my front
tires to match the rear.

My mistake, I have turf tires, not Ag. I dropped the rears off at Sullivan Tire today. Hopefully they can find replacements. Looking online, it's not going to be cheap. I asked about foam filling the new ones, thats also an expensive option! I'll get back with the outcome when it's done.

My front tires are foam filled. I don't think I'm going to have the new tires filled.
If I need counterweight in front, I think I'm going to make my own.

I don't know how you use your tractor, but you may consider making yourself a weight box to hang off the 3 pt. That would give you the option to remove it when needed. If you fill the rear tires, it's a done deal. No option. Foam filling those large rear tires would be mighty expensive, also.

Interesting that a thread has been resurrected after 6 years!

When I saw this pop up- I thought that another mystery "new" model was being talked about. I haven't been a kubota follower for too many years- so i wasn't aware it was a previous model.

I think it is awesome that these tractors are still alive and working. A testament to the engineering and design. Unfortunately, I will have to trade in my B7510 when it is time to upgrade..... It sure would be fun however, for my kids to be using the same tractor 20 years down the orad!

The tires are on order. But just got a call from the shop, I need a new rim. The originals had been filled with calcium at some point,which apparently leaked, and one was bad around valve stem area. So now I'm on the hunt for a rear rim.
Randy, it gets just general use around here. It pulls a little haying equipment when needed, manure loading/spreading, stuff like that. I have no real need for weight all the time.

Just a follow up. I finally got the new rears back. Rim-$170, tires with "comercial grade sealant" mounted, just over $1000. Yikes! But she looks good.

What is "comercial grade sealant"? And, what brand of rear tires did you end
up with ? AG, Turf, R4, what ?

Sorry, they're titan 4 ply turf type. I ordered the 8 ply, but after a few weeks of waiting, they (titan) could not say when they going to make them. Apparently they must wait untill the have enough orders or something (I'm guessing). So I opted for the 4 ply just because it was available in a couple of days. The sealant, I have no brand name for you, but the tire guy just called it a commecial grade sealant. I'll try for the pics in a bit.

I'm STILL waiting for my new Titan AG's !

My dealer quoted me a price of $250.00 each for the rear's. I'm guessing that
price will change when they show up.

My B9200 had Bridgestone AG's front & back. The fronts were jell filled. I tried
to find new Bridgestone replacements, but I guess they are not available any more. I really liked the Bridgestone's. Titan is the only AG style tire available,
as far as I know.

I am looking at at B9200 HST with a 60 mmm. I do not know the year of the tractor or the # of hours. Will be going back by shortly after the first of the year and would like to make an offer. any opinions with this little information.
It does have turf tires and I will want to till at least an acre with this tractor with a roto tiller.
