This is a project i've been contemplating for a while. I've picked-up ideas here and there on the internet (Credits to Scott Pheasant, youtube video).
Pretty much all of the pieces I bought online @ PrincessAuto. Gear motor was 20$, Actuator 70$, Reversible momentary switches 17$ each.
Cut, welded and painted the bracket. Then bolted to the chassis to hold the motor.
Doing the transition from the motor to the endless screw was done by grinding a piece of square stock to fit the hollow square hole in the motor. I then welded the square stock to a half-inch bolt.
Doing this over again, I'd mount the actuator on top/back of the chute instead of the side for better weight distribution.
I've managed to get this far but I'm lacking ideas on where to mount the control box.
Any ideas?
Hope everything performs as planned this winter.
