I have a question about a Kubota BH-65 control valve. I want to add another remote open center valve to the opposite side from where the inputs (P&T) connect.
On both ends of the control valve there are end covers and the left one has the P&T hoses connected to them. What I want to know is, can I take out the plugs on the right end cover and connect my P&T hoses to them to connect to my valve so I can hook up a cylinder for the thumb.

If your BH valve has a PB port, then you can add an adapter and make the valve a PB valve. The OUT or tank port still has to go to a return hose or hyd filler opening.

Your new valve will connect the PB out from the BH valve to the IN port of the new valve.

The new valve with a PB adapter will connect back to the tractor to feed the 3pt.

If you are not using the 3pt, the OUT from the new valve can go to any return hose or go to the hyd filler opening, and you do not need a PB on the last valve.

Thanks J_J for the reply. Since this will be the last valve connected to the end cover I should be able to just run the hoses from the plugged holes on the right end cover right to the P&T ports of my open center solenoid valve. I'm assuming that since the left end cover is the connection point for the P&T input and all the valves in the control valve are open center, then I should just be able to unplug the right end cover and connect my hoses there without any PB adapter. Would this be correct or am I misunderstanding how those end covers work. I didn't find a hydraulic diagram for the BH so this is why I am asking.
Thanks,
Randy

In order to connect one valve to another, you need a PB port. One of the ports on the side opposite may be a PB adaptable port. A hex screw or a PB sleeve is necessary.

If the BH valve has the PB adapter, then you can connect another valve downstream and run the new tank port to the filler cap.

Some valve manufacturers put letters on the valve ports, such as P, T, PB, PBY, A1, A2, etc.

Thanks J_J. That's what I needed to know.
