I'm considering the purchase of a used Kubota BL2664 3-point mounted snow blower with a manual chute adjuster. Can anyone out there share insights into it's operational capability and maintainability - both pro and con views appreciated.

Thanks,
Jack

All depends on parts and service and quality of build.

I can tell you that any open auger snwo caster Hoovers as far as snow removal is concerned because of the
open auger design.

with your Cascade concrete an auger without a biting flights will have plenty of problems.

Most all the Kubota SNOW CASTERS are RAD
I have an RAD of the green variety and I am not happy with the quality
or the build. The impeller fan is off centered and sags to one side and I have to install
pneumatic casters on it to prevent it from digging in or catching on broken pavement.

I would rather see you spend the money on a new Allied Farm King Snow Caster and mount
a pair of pneumatic casters on the snow caster to prevent it from digging in.

The last thing you or I want to deal with crawling around on the wet ground installing
shear pins or splicing broken roller chain.(WHICH I ABSOLTELY HATE DOING)

The nice thing is a new snow caster will fit on the next mule that you buy with zero issues.

I have the same blower on the back of a b2630. It has been with me for 4 years and works well. I mostly end up digging it out for drifting snow over the top of the blower. I think they are pretty well built. put the shoes down as far as you need to keep it from snagging on broken concrete or road edges and such. Never had to replace a sheer pin yet. Hums right along with the pto speed up. Makes a cool buzzing sound when the chute is full of snow. Watching the sheer amount of snow coming out of that thing at a constant rate makes me glad I have it.

Weld beads on the bottom of the shoes every year to keep it from wearing through. (All my work is on concrete) And finally use a generous helping of fluid film on EVERYTHING.

I was wondering the difference with the bl2224 model above vs a Lucknow? I see both for sale with same use and price. The Lucknow is 72 " while they mention the kubota snowblower was 60 or 63. "
