So, I recently acquired from auction a LA724 loader to fit into my L3940. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a bucket. Someone has a L2273 bucket for sale for a reasonable price a few hours away (400); that bucket was for the previous generation loader, the LA723. I was wondering if the pin design is similar enough that I can utilize that bucket on my new LA724.

I have thought about a SSQA adapter, but I can't find the original Kubota one (the L2226) and all the aftermarket quotes I'm getting are in the $1k+ range and with multiple month lead times. Coleman Equipment does have then, but they're backordered and only for local customers... and I'm in Michigan, they're in Kansas.

I looked on KubotaBooks.com and the loader manuals for those two models seem to only show ssqa buckets (?). These were the operator manuals, not the workshop manuals.

Perhaps a call to a Kubota dealer could resolve your question.
$1000 is a lot of change, but the ssqa mounts are an awesome convenience imho.

Get or make a SSQA. You can buy just the latch boxes, and make your own brackets to pin it on for just a few hundred bucks. But then any SSQA attachment will work. Forks, grapple, etc

I'll probably just have to discuss with the local dealer. SSQA is indeed awesome, I'm just not super willing to drop that kinda money onto an adapter if I can avoid it. $550, which is what a L2226 runs, is a lot easier to swallow. But it would be nice to have, for sure.

I wish I had that kind of fabrication ability, but welding skills aren't something I've developed yet and I'm not sure that this would be the best first project.

I would like to find a global coupler for my SSQA Kubota loader, not an add on adapter, but actual global loader “ends”

Found that ATI makes all types. SSQA to Global and pin on to SSQA, etc.

Huh. So, I look every so often for L2226s and found one that just popped up for sale for original price. Will end up saving me a boatload and will be here inside two weeks. Win!

I agree, I'd pay the $1k to have SSQA. Opens up a lot of options.
