Kubota Possum 2018
Member
Hello all! Back with a quick question. I walked into my garage last night and discovered that my backhoe for my Kubota BX 23 S which is currently sitting on a BXPanded backhoe dolly had a coupler which had leaked hydraulic fluid. It had the cap in place (blue one I believe), and had leaked a decent amount of fluid which ran down onto the base of my backhoe dolly. Someone please tell me is this normal. I am new to tractors (just purchased this back in July), and tend to worry when I see something like this. When I discovered it I cleaned the face of the coupler with a shop cloth, and recovered it with the cap. It hasn't leaked since to my knowledge. As a side note the bucket on the backhoe has leaked down and is now touching the garage floor. I was wondering if the backhoe extending itself may have pushed fluid out of the coupler. Like I said I am new to tractors, and was hoping someone could clear this up for me. Also, will I need to add hydraulic fluid to the tractor when I reinstall the backhoe later.
