Hello TBN'ers. I'm looking at a Kubota BX 2670 with 180 hrs, for a friend. Comes with loader, 60" mower and snowblower. E.C. garage kept in northeast. Asking 13k, sound reasonable? I was thinking offering 10?

Thanks

Brian

I would say it's a decent deal.. That said offering $10,000 for something that is for sale for $13,000 isn't something I would do. To each there own..

Do your homework and offer a fair price after you know what the tractor is worth.

Over ten years ago I bought my bx for something like $10K with only a mower deck.

Sounds like $13K with 60" mower, a snow blower and a loader, and with only 180 hours on the tractor is a very good deal...

Be ready to run when the guy reacts to your low ball offer...:)

Just my gut speaking, I don't know what tractors go for these days, but can guess.

I was in no way meaning to disrespect the guy. We all have to eat. That's why I asked. I don't have a blue book. And I know dealers have to go low on trade in because they have bills to pay.
So it sounds like a reasonable asking price.
Thanks
Brian

Sounds reasonable to me... come in at $12K not to be insulting and settle in the middle. Everyone feels good and the new owner has just about a new machine.

Go on the Kubota website and 'build your own' if you want a comparison against new.

Yeah I have to agree, offer what you offer. Things are for sale, take the offer or leave it. Insulting is offering half of asking, but even then who knows. Everybody has to pay the bills. You want it sold then take the offer, if you don't then say no. Comes to business there are no feelings, its pure numbers and yes or no.

been looking at used tractors and new used guys are offering 2k less than I can buy it new, even found one where the guy was asking more than I could buy it for new. When selling or buying your not obligated to make anybody feel good accept yourself. As a buyer accepting the asking amount without any dickering is foolish.
