Kubota BX MMM (BANG)

When I test drove my BX back in 2000 I went over a curb to check clearance and the MMM hit the frame with a loud BANG.Kubotas solution was to weld a small thick piece of steel to the MMM deck. My solution was to weld a die spring for the MMM to hit = no more BANG! Hope this idea helps someone!

When I have my mmm all the way up it bangs on the frame going over bumps so I have to drop it slightly. Something like this should solve my problems.

Zick, it sounds like your deck is out of adjustment. It should not bounce when you hit a bump.

So when you put the mmm in the top locked position, should it be pulled tight up to the frame?
I'm sure you are right, mine is probably out of adjustment.

Thanks for the Idea. My BX2200 is an 2001. Of course the banging of the deck when fully raised only comes up occasionally the banging is rather bothersome. Might try to weld a spring system up this winter if time permits. At least have the parts ready when I start up the mower deck next spring.
