Have 2 acres one of which is cleared and needs regular mowing. I also have an acre which is wooded with small hardwoods which I have plans to clear or at least work on it. Is a Bx too much for regular mowing of an acre as I am sure I can make use of it when clearing the back acre? I also have a deer lease that needs usual light bush hogging and food plots so some use there. Am I better off with zero turn for mowing and buying an older bigger tractor for the clearing and lease or would the bx be a good fit? Live in south Louisiana so it's flat land. Guess I'm just trying to justify the cost. Thanks for the input.

Sounds like a good fit for me. I use mine for similar stuff, except I mow about 2 acres.

I use my BX24 for the exact same use. You'll find many more uses after you get it. I know I did.

Tree-clearing and BX don't usually go together around our place. The little guy is absolutely great with so many chores, but he is just too small to push over trees or grub stumps of any size. We don't have the backhoe version, and that would definitely make a difference for your tree clearing project. Otherwise, the BX would do fine in your situation, I'd think.

BX works perfect for that size acreage. I have 2 acres, half is mowed and other half for land clearing. I dont have a need to push over trees but I use BX to move the brush or trees . One acre with a BX to clear will not take you long and its good therapy  .

I bought a BX25, they come with a BH and FEL. Unless you haave a funding problem get the 25. Once you have the BH you will never be w/o it. I grub out and push over some pretty good size alders and willows. The root structure is huge on the big ones. The BH teeth cut off those 3-4" roots pretty fast. 4" alders I push over w/ the FEL about 5' off the ground for leverage

I think its a perfect fit. I have a BX25 for less than half an acre. You will never run out of uses for it.
