I just recently picked up a BX2750 which I plan to install on my BX1500. Not surprisingly, it came with the BX2751/2752 quick hitch and pto kit (from BX1800/2200). Fortunately I was able to find the correct hitch (BX2711 - thanks Derek!) but here's where my questions come.
Would it make more sense to buy a complete BX2712 PTO kit for the BX1500, so that I could sell the existing 2751/2752, or just buy the pto shaft (at $250) and keep the pto parts as spares? From the dealer it is ~$250 difference. (Or if I could find someone here with a BX2712 to sell).
Secondly, I need to get a control valve for the lift cylinder. Dealer wants ~600 for BX1612 control valve - is it worth it? I would like to keep the loader configured as is, and I don't want to leave a control valve on the tractor. I also don't want to disassemble the two load pins to leave the loader bracket in place. I was thinking as an alternate I could buy an inexpensive Prince valve, buy a second loader bracket, and mount the cyllinder to the second bracket. I dont need both spools as I don't envision needing a power angle capability. I would like to be able to remove the front control valve as easily as the loader. I am thinking this alternate may save me ~$400.
Any thoughts / opinions? Has anyone used an aftermarket control valve vice the kubota one for front implements?
Thanks in advance.
