I bought the hydraulic chute rotator for the BX2750D snowblower in December 2016. Depending on the day, it will rotate fine from fully right to fully left, but then gets stuck in the forward position if I'm trying to rotate right again. I can turn it off and then rotate by hand just fine, but it's as if the forward position is some sort of stop.

I have had the same problem from time to time. I removed the chute after blowing snow on Saturday and found some snow had built up between the on the top side of the friction plate (black plastic) and chute. I do not heat my garage and it appears there also was some ice between the underside of the friction plate and snowblower. Of course the ice raised the friction plate enough and unevenly that when the snow built up a tight spot was created and caused the chute to bind. Since the hydraulic lines use orifices there is limited power to turn the chute. Interesting enough I used to notice the issue before I put the hydraulic rotater on but usually could get it to move by using both hands on the crank.

A restrictor in hydraulic lines will slow things down but shouldn't decrease power. You will end up developing the same pressure on both sides of the restrictor eventually unless the cylinder or motor has internal or external leakage.

I had a problem with my new one as well, and finally figured out they had installed the wrong size gear at the factory that builds them. After talking to the Kubota dealer that I bought the blower from, and realized that they really didn,t have a clue, I decided to call the company in Quebec that actually builds the blowers for Kubota, and they confirmed that it was the gear that was the problem. They overnited the correct gear, and didn,t charge me for the gear, or the shipping.
Great customer service.

I had to tap down the gear to get it to go on the motor. Did you have the same rotation issues as me?

Yes, I had the same issues as you. Mine kept jamming until I figured out what was wrong. Count the number of teeth in on the gear. It should have 11 teeth, mine had a 10 tooth gear incorrectly installed at the factory that made the blower. The blowers are made by a company in Quebec called Rad Technology. Their # is 418-338-4499. If you have the 10 tooth gear, give them a call and explain your problem, and they will send you out the proper 11 tooth gear for free, including shipping. At least, that,s what they did for me, so I,m sure they will treat everyone the same.

Checked the gear on mine and it has the eleven teeth, looks like I will just have to make sure things are thawed/dried out from time to time.

After every use, I clean up the snowblower and get rid of all the built up ice and snow, and then rotate it from lock to lock, to make sure nothing is left in there to freeze up.
Works like a charm.
