KUBOTA BX2200 SNOWBLOWER DRIVE SHAFT

I Just purchased a used quick hitch for the front of my BX2200. Everything seemed to fit well, but the mid PTO dive shaft that drives the blower seems to be about 3'' too long. Can this be cut, rewelded and fit to size before I purchase a new one?

Hi Dave, I'm sure you'll find the answer here someplace.The shaft that went with my hitch that I sold you was a BX2753.Maybe someone on here has the correct shaft for you that would trade.I did see someplace where the shaft could be cut,re-welded and balanced at a machine shop.You should be hearing from someone on here that has done it or knows how to do it. I'm mailing out the manual on the hitch tomorrow.

Hi. Welcome to TBN. I have had drive shafts cut and welded to accommodate a Japanese PTO. I would recommend you have a machine shop do it if you do not have the right equipment to align it and the skills to weld it.

There is a lot of torque on the drive shaft. The fix has to be right.
