Kubota BX2200 will not shut off when key in off position.

I have a Kubota BX2200 with approx 260 hours on it. I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago that all the lights would stay on at all times (blinkers/hazard switches would not work--the lights were just steady on). My fuel gauge then seemed to act funny. Today, while the tractor was running, the lights all went off, fuel guage went dead and the tractor would not shut off when the key was placed in the off position. I got the tractor to shut off by disconnecting the fuel line.

Now, the key switch does nothing when turned to the on and start position, no lights turn on. I checked all the fuses and they are all fine, none blown. What should I do next? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

looks like the key switch isn't getting power or passing the power. check the feed to the switch. not sure where it would be on that model. mine has a slow blow fuse near the battery.

there is usually a lever on the fuel injector pump that allows you to shut down the engine manually.

I did check the slow blow fuse and that fuse is not blown. Any idea about why all my electrical would be out?

Dean, another fellow went through a very similar problem just last week on a BX23, he lost all power to the tractor, same as you.
Ended up his problem was the 30amp slow-blow fuse. He said it wasn't seated properly and when he removed and replaced it, all was well in his world.

After verifying that your battery is indeed good check that fuse. Your BX2200 has been around awhile and if thats the original battery I'd suspect it 1st. Altho I've got 7 seasons on mine, 4 yrs is about avg and anything above is gravy, check that battery....

Check the connections. Theres been quite a few posted failures where the battery cables weren't connected tightly, were corroded or both, check those cables....

Check and recheck those fuses, use a meter or continuity checker to be sure.

Verify you're getting 12vdc (battery voltage) to the starter solenoid large terminal, if not, it's either your battery, the conections or the 30amp slow blow fuse.

Hey Dave, thanks so much for taking the time to reply--I will do exactly as you directed. I did check the slow-blow fuse and it wasn't blown but I think I'll replace because that seems to be a common denominator in this type of problem.
