BX23......RTV1100
Has anybody made a list of parts and (or) attachment list from all manufacturers that will fit the BX23

Just about anything that is Cat 1 and within the weight/size limits of the machine will "work". Obviously, you need to consider available power in those decisions as well as lift-height for things like PHD. Some attachments work well as long as your expectations are reasonable. For example, we just purchased a Woods 5000 chipper shreader. Works great, but large stuff that is too long can stall the machine. So, you compensate....the bigger diameter, the shorter it should be before going in the machine.

There are also some new lines that are specifically aimed at the sub-CUT worthy of consideration.

There was a thread on this several months back. The list was long. You might want to search for it. Most Cat 1 implements work unless they're especially heavy or the hitch pins are too far apart (wide) for the BX to acommodate.

Dealer was telling me that the BX has a special 3 pt hitch with the dimentions on the width of the spreader This is all bit new to me had the BX23 since April and its a work horse so I would rather ask then buy something with out knowing if it would fit or not

woodster300, I recently installed the Pat's quick change system on my BX and actually had to move the pins on my implements to the "outside" standard cat 1 position. My 3pt works fine and without width adjustment now on my Woods 5000 chipper/shreder, Woods 1120 PHD, Herd spreader and TSC carryall...which is everything I currently own in the way of 3pt attachments! I did need to buy a slightly longer top link to retain full adjustment with the Pat's sytem in place as it extended the lift arms by 3". I did not need any changes on the PTO shafts as spreading the arms wider also brought the implement back to about the same distance it originally was from the rear of the tractor.

Rather than make a list of every make, size, and manufacturer known to exist, it is more practical to check the owners manual for max. implement weights and to spread the lift arms to their max, measure them, then get measurements of any implement you're interested in buying. That's what I do.

I remember a few months ago Junkman had purchased a landscape rake that seemed to fit his BX. Pin width, weight etc. But when he tried to use it he had trouble with the geometry of the top link mount. I think several people have had to lengthen or shorten top link attachment points. Others have had to modify lifting rods to obtain additional lift for some implements. Some guys have even modified or retrofitted the check chains on the lower links.

Was the original intent of this post to find 3 point attachments that work well on BX tractors with out any Modifications????

Many fine attachments require mods to work well on the BX and some members may want to avoid buying something and having to have it modified before it works right.

I don't mind making modifications my self if I know it up front and plan on it when making the purchase.

I just feel for the poor guy (with out all the equipment some of us have) that buys an attachment and it won't work for him.

If we want to start a database of attachments, how they fit and mods necessary, I think it would be great.

There was a partial list months ago. The thing is, if people don't keep adding to it, a thread winds up farther and farther in the archives and after awhile it's difficult to search and find it. This kind of list would need to be something that's always readily accessable without a lot of trouble searching. Also, what if someone accidentally posts a model number incorrectly? Another TBNer assumes it to be correct, doesn't do his own measurement, then buys something that doesn't fit. Does the liability lie with the one who posted incorrectly or the one who didn't measure? Does a carpenter trust someone else's measurements, or does he measure things for himself?
