Ok motor heads. I have a 2011 Kubota L-3700su 37 hp tractor (1.8 L 111ci 3 cyl Kubota diesel engine). Do Kubota engines ( particularly mine) have wet or dry liners / blocks?
What I mean is, is the engine block cylinder area bored out with material left intact, THEN a sleave liner fitted ( being dry liner, as the liner insert never is in direct contact with coolant or oil).
Or is it a wet liner design, where the liner itself is the sole device surrounding the piston, with the liner itself is in contact with fluids?
Or are the engines NOT LINED or sleeved at all, and are just bored out cast iron?
Are some engines in the Kubota engine line wet liner and some dry liner? If so which are which? I do not see any mention of this design feature in any of their specs or tech data.
Thanks in advance. Ultimately, is my 1.8 L. Kubota a wet- or dry-liner design?
