I am looking at an F2400, has around 900 hours and has set outside some. Mower is in good shape, I will need to replace a few things, however it runs and operates very smoothly. Any concerns on this model?? How is it for a mower for 2 or 3 acres? Any advice would be awsome, I will be making the final call on Thursday, Thanks... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
I have had a F2400 for about five years now. It was well used when I got it - the hour meter was broken at 4500 hours (which the dealer replaced) so I have no idea how many hours are on it. I have put over 500 hours on it and the only major repair I have had is to replace the alternator. These units are from the previous generation and attachments are becoming hard to find but parts are readily available. I primarliy use mine for two activities - cutting grass and blowing snow. They were designed for commercial use so mowing 2-3 acres is nothing - maybe up to two hours depending on how clear the area is of obstacles such as trees. I also have a rotary broom, a dozer blade and a tiller (that I adapter from a K420) for mine. I am currently working on designing a stump grinder attachment. I take the cab off for summer activities. Overall a great machine. If you have any questions, PM me. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
