This will probably affect some of us who have Kubota F-mower and and are using it to mow uneven yard with ups & downs!
I just replaced worn lift link rubber cushions in my RC72R-F30 mower in order to limit the amount of mower deck forward tilting when mowing uneven yard.
Just trying to keep the 90 degree bevel gearbox input shaft and the mower PTO output shafts aligned as much as possible.
If the deck tilts forward too much, it will cause noticeable vibration.
This is probably not as big a deal on newer side discharge decks which have a different style gearbox with "integrated" center pulley and no gearbox offset.
Gearbox Offset:
Lift Link Rubber Cushions:
In my experience & opinion: If the lift link slack was left as is shown in the above manual photo, it would cause noticeable vibration when the deck tilts all the way forward!
I have adjusted it to about 3/8"
My deck operator manual does not say anything about trying to minimize the lift link slack so I am inviting fellow members with experience on this subject to comment please.
