I have a kubota 3940 watched several videos on you tube and did not look to bad to change a freeze plug Well kubota diesel engine blocks are not bored as deep as most engines. So my question is any of you ever change one? I have a pin hole in one of mine and need to change it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Be very careful if drilling a hole in the freeze plug for removal. Another member drilled through the block requiring major repairs to fix. They created a thread on it, but can't remember if they offered any removal hints.

If drilling I'd put a drill stop on to prevent from drilling too deep.

Seems weird to have a pin hole in one, I have not heard any mention about this before on TBN... have you thought about replacing it with a block heater?

Your tractor's production was 2007 - 2013... that seems a bit early to have this problem.
