Oil & Fuel Kubota fuel system bleeding

I have overhauled my Steiner 425 and am having a nightmare starting it.
The engine is a Kubota D950 which was running fine.
I have bled the fuel up to the injection pump but i dont know which is the bleed screw on the pump.
I have undone the fittings on the injectors and there is fuel present but it is not pulsing much when i crank it over.
All i get from the exhaust pipe is wisps of smoke which indicates that fuel is getting to the cylinders but not enough.

I need to bleed the injection pump but i dont know how to do it.
If someone could tell me how to bleed the pump i would be very grateful

If the Stenier application does not have a little knurled wheel on the side of the injection pump (as do Kubota tractors), there is a small fitting 8 or 10 mm as I remember, that you screw out about three rounds. You will notice a cut in the side of the threads. This is the air bleed.

With ever bleed you have- leave it open and pump your hand transfer pump or turn on the electric fuel pump (key on, usually) and attempt to crank the engine - 15 seconds cranking 45 seconds cool down. The engine may catch and hit on one cylinder and then another, finally running even. Once it starts, close the air bleed.

If it has to be bled at the high pressure lines at the top of the nozzles, use two wrenches - one to turn and one to hold the nozzle flat - when you do it this way, you avoid damage. Unless you have had the fuel system apart, you should not have to bleed at the nozzles.
