Hi can anyone tell me the part number for the belts which drive from the engine to cutter deck on my Kubota G1900 mower please.

:confused2:

Hello Pauline, and welcome to TBN. Your G1900 does NOT have belts going from the engine to the mower deck. It has two belts that go from the PTO to a shaft that drives the mower deck. These belts should be replaced both at the same time because a new belt would be shorter than the older belt due to stretching over their lifetime. The Kubota part number for the PTO belt is 66101-25080 and you should order 2 each. However you can order a set that includes both belts as part number 66101-25000. That part number has been superceded by 70000-74009. It's important that you get the proper adjustment of the PTO engagement mechanism and brake when you replace these belts. If you have a problem, post back and we can try to help you. Do you not have a dealer who might help in the UK? You can enter these part numbers in Google to find a suitable source for parts. Some people will "rob" you in price (over $80 US) and others will sell you the belts at a reasonable price ($25 - $30 US). As with everything, be cautious when ordering online.

Hi Jinman thanks for the information. You are correct, I could have asked my local Kubota dealer about these belts but I know he would have insisted on supplying them rather than give me the number so that I could search the internet. I appreciate you taking the time to give me the information. I shall be sure to get the proper adjustments as you point out.

Kind Regards

Pauline

Would other 5/8 x 34" belts work?

Curious if anyone can tell me why my Kubota G1900 is chewing up my PTO belts. It has a 54" deck. I know a big part of the problem is trying to use after market and guessing at the size? I have used a Jason Industrial Inc. V-belt #B31/5L340 and a NAPA FHP Belt #5L350W. Any advice would be a big help. Honestly I cannot afford to pay the $90 per belt from a dealer. Thanks!

Igodou, those belts are NOT $90 each. The replacement belt set part number 70000-74009 from Messicks.com is less than $24. I believe that is the price for a 2-belt set. It's way, way lower than $90 even if it is the single belt price.

As far as your belts not lasting, it may be exactly as you guessed, using replacement belts instead of Kubota quality parts. It could also be a rough or bent pulley or bearing out in the PTO idler/tensioner pulley. I would just say to inspect all pulleys for damage and the idler for smooth operation when you replaced with the proper belt.

Here's a link to Messicks.com for your part. They are a TBN advertiser and a great source of parts as well as information. You will have to pay for shipping, but they won't "rob" you on that either. Just to be sure they are the best solution, you might call your local Kubota dealer and ask for a quote on the price for the 70000-74009 part number. Either way, stick with OEM Kubota belts and you'll be a winner.
