It's my first timing running one of these. Not bad but burns up some gas. 46hp 88ftlbs. I use about 8-10 gallons with the 46hp Kubota gas engine in the vermeer vs about 5gallons in the 45hp diesel ditchwitch.(per day) The ditchwitch is older and I think the current comparable model to the vermeer uses a gas engine now. The gas *might* be slightly quieter but not really enough to matter.

I didn't even know Kubota made a gas engine till now.

Anyone else have experience with one of these?

They're converting a diesel model to gas. It's what they're putting in wood chippers now I hear. They're putting it in something else but I can't remember what it is.

They have been in grasshopper mowers for a long time.

I have one in my Genie Z34/22 articulating boom lift. Works like you’d expect a Kubota to.

A gallon of gas contains less physical energy than a gallon of diesel. That's why you need more of it to get the same work done.
