Kubota BX2230
I have a chance at buying a Kubota grass catcher that was on a new 2350 (used once) and I would like to install on my BX2230. The only issue is that I have a Woods FEL and BH on the tractor. I was looking at the manual and it looks like I have to mount some bracket on the back of my tractor and the rear mount of the Woods BH looks like it would interfere.

Has anyone mounted the Kubota crass catcher on a tractor with the Woods unit?

Doesnt the grass catcher just use the 3PH mount points?

So is no one using the Kubota grass catcher? Doyou have to mount anything to use it or just use only the 3PH?

If it came off a 2350 and is a Model GCK60-23BX, it doesn't actually use the 3PT. There are 2 brackets (called Rear Support Stay LH and RH) that bolt onto the rear of the 1850 and 2350. These brackets look very similar to the BH mounts for the BX24. This is what the above model grass catcher mounts to...

I know the old bagger is just off the 3PH...I have one. If the new one uses brackets, it would seem that they'd configure the thing so it could be used with the BX24/25. If so, it would further seem that it'd be the same deal with your Woods BH.

So if Kubota says the bagger will fit the BX24, I'd think that would be a big step to saying you're safe...

I have no experience with the older bagger, or the Woods BH...but would hazard a guess that if the one you're considering is the older one, it should work, so long as the Woods mount allows you to attach the 3PT hardware.

On the other hand, the Woods mount would have to be exactly like the BX24 subframe with respect to BH mounting points in order for the newer bagger (GCK60-23BX) to work, since the two brackets emulate the BX24's BH mounts and the bagger attaches at these upper and lower points.

Some info on the bagger, the older modle is strickly a 3pt. mount,.....also it is a pto (only) shaft and gear box's NO BELTS like the one you are asking about,if it was me I would def.look around for the older type,I just bought a brand new older type from a dealer on s.c. last fall, looked at the newer style and when I saw the belts and extra pully's I said why on earth did they go to that style.....have not had any problems with mine,...it mount's quick and vaccums up leaves and grass great.....just need to train your ear to the tone of the hum and if it changes it is full,....this is why alot are saying they didn't like them....they let it get clogged and still try to mow!And it is not hard to install with one person if you have a simple floor jack(Roll Type) Oh yeah....my tractor is a 2230,should fit a 2350 all the same, boot # may be different on deck?.....MODLE # is MDGCK60-BX (bagger) deck is RCK60B-22BX

Agree with wheel r deal r,

I have a Bx2230 with the old TPH mount bagger. I like it and have no complaints. The reason Kubota changed to a bracket mount system on the new bagger is due to complaints about having to remove the lift arms on the old units. Is removing 4 key rings really all that big of a deal? Not to me. I just remove the lift arms and put them in my tractor tool box. I don't bother mounting them in the storage position on the bagger, as the manual suggests.

My dealer hates the new bagger. The first version that arrived on showroom floors had no storage stands. Now they have added storage stands again. Belt driven seems like a mistake too. I like the old bagger with the PTO driven gearboxes.
