Tractor
Kubota L4330
Hi Folks,
I was a member here back when I bought this tractor. Can not find my old username or password.

2004 L4330 4x4 with GST trans. A few weeks ago while climbing a hill the tractor did a little hesitation a few times. Feels like the hydraulic clutch is momentarily disengaging then right back in. It happens very fast, less than a second. As soon as I got to my garage I checked the fluid, it was not showing on the dip stick. It was due for a service so I changed the trans fluid and filter. Drained about 7 gallons, should have 11 gallons =/-. After the service it still has the clutch / hesitation issue. I only notice it under load, climbing a hill or pushing snow.
I believe this is an intermittent electrical problem. I have checked the wire connectors at the ecm and gear selector switch. I will go through any other connectors I can find soon.
Anybody experienced this? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Mike

It is not intermittent anymore. Last night when I went out to plow it would not move more than a few feet with popping out of gear. I don't have the proper testing equipment to diagnose so off to the dealer it goes. First major problem in 2400 hrs, guess I can't complain.

I stumbled onto the problem just before I loaded it on a trailer. A small (smaller than a pencil) stick had wedged itself up near the valve body. It originally must have cracked the pressure sensor causing the intermittent issue then finally broke off the sensor causing the "it ain't working anymore" issue. Found the sensor on fleebay, $55. Problem fixed.

Glad you figured it out. My 1993 L3650 GST doesnt have any sensors. I hope.
I did have the shifter get stiff and hang between gears. Apparently some water had made its way into the housing and cable. I had to store my tractor outside until I built a shed.
I took the cable off where it connected to the transmission and drilled a small hole in the top of the shifter housing so I could spray penetrating oil into it. Let it drain overnight and plugged the drill hole with some silicone.
Works better than ever.
