Kubota hydraulic pump?

Hi all i am new here and this seems to be the place of a lot of good people with good ideas.
So my question is can I hook up another pump to my kubota L245DT off the front crankshaft to run my FEL and leave the origanal pump (2.8 GPM) for the 3PH???

Why would you need both? will they both be in use at the same time 3ph & FEL? I would said yes that it can be done as long as the direction of rotation is the same.

Sure you can add another pump, you'll need to get one that has the correct rotation direction to match the rotation of the engine. You will need to make a bracket to mount the pump and a tank, you'll need to make up hoses or hard lines to connect the pump to the tank and to your loader valve. I'm not sure what this will buy you in the end versus what it will cost but you can be the judge of that. I actually did this to my old Simplicity Sovern garden tractor. I added a pump, tank and valves to operate a FEL, BH, and 3-point hitch I made for it.

The reason I would like to do this is because the factory pump is only 2.8GPM and the loader rollback times and lift times are much to slow. What size of pump would you recomend for this??? What thoughts would you have on a 2 stage pump (like a log Spliter). this way when the loader was empty it would go fast but when you were digging it would go slower with lots of digging power?????

I would not use a 2 stage pump mainly because the flow is way too high, as most are in the 10+ GPM which would make your loader move super fast, way too fast even at modest engine RPMs. I would suggest a single stage something in the range of 5-7 GPM and 2,000 - 3,000 psi. You can always add a relief valve if you need to for the loader(in case your loader valve doesn't have one built in).
