Hope somebody can explain what is happening
I had borrowed a DuraTech Haybuster 77 from the local soil conservation district to drill some fescue and orchard grass. I have Kubota 3010 without a rear power takeoff. So my plan was to run the haybuster hydraulics from my bucket hydraulics just like I do with my log splitter. I use the two hose connections that tilt the bucket, not the ones to lift the bucket. I was expecting that the controls to tilt the bucket, would raise and lower the drill.
The bucket tilt control did not work as I expected, what I found was that the controls would work in one direction only. I could either raise the seed drill or lower it. If it needed to go in the other direction, I had to reverse the hydraulic cables. I got the seeding done, but it was much more painful than it should have been. Can somebody please explain to me what was happening, and perhaps a better way to do this in the future?
thanks
