I have a 2001 BX2200 with approximately 350hrs. It developed a hydro leak last year. It leaks only when the pump is running (i.e. all the time while powered up).
I took it a dealer in Winchester, Virginia and they called me back. Seems like the problem is the hydrostatic pump housing (HST) seal(s) are leaking...... and with parts and labor they want $893.00 to repair. I asked the dealer if there was a service bulletin on this and he said "No". Seems odd that with around 300 hours, the seals would go. He is ordering a Hydrostatic pump seal replacement kit to replace all seals (drive line as well) while he has it apart.
Some additional info - I just spoke to the dealer and the breakdown is as follows:
5 O rings, 1 gasket 4 oil seals - 123.00
Labor 12.1 hrs - 726.00
Shop supplies - 36.00
Tax - 8.00
My question: Anyone had this problem with their BX2200 or 1800 or any BXxx? Is this price "in the ball park"? 12.1 hrs labor seems a bit for experienced mechanics.
I have nothing to gauge this by so I am posting the questions here.
Thanks folks
