For those that have purchased the Kubota insurance. Please advice on how much you are paying and if you compared it to a quote from your regular insurance carrier.

Are you billed seperately or is it included in your monthly payment?

Thanks,

Rick

I purchased my 7500 about 3 months ago, in Texas. Insurance runs about $12 a month. I had to prepay the total amount for the 36 month that I financed at 0%.

Was about $10 per month for a BX2200 wil FEL and 60 MMM. It is included in my payment.

Around $14 a month and it's included with the payment (60 month contract). My tractor is not stored where I am, and there is no house on the property yet. I guess I could have investigated some type of rural farm policy, but I just went with what was easy.

Keith,

I'm in the same boat as you. My rural property is about 150 miles from me. I'm in the process of building a steel "barn" (24x24) to hold the beast. There is no residence on the property yet.

Theft or vandalism is certainly a possibility considering the remote location. I also want to insure the "barn" as it's final cost will be about $9400 including the slab and footers.

Well Kubota faxed my insurance stating the rider was required and my insurance went up ZERO ! Weird but it is on there...in black and white. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also weird I removed my in-ground pool, yes I took a 20 x 40 pool out, 3 months ago and my policy changed ZERO. Another weird one.....

But I HATE insurance companies!!!! All they want is $$$$ but when they have to pay you, they give you "the works"!!!!!

Inground pools are considered attractive nuisances. I had an inground and pond that was hand dug. Pond was considered safe, pool wasn't

I have never seen an insurance company beat the rates that KCC has on insurance unless the policy covers tractors as part of the home owners policy. Even after you have paid the tractor off I highly suggest insurance as tractors are very popular to steal. The don't have titles so it makes for easy resale for theives.

HI...

FYI...

My insurance agent quoted $250 per year to cover a $28,000 value tractor with Comprehensive and Collision coverage... ...goes thru a "Commercial Line" insurer...

My homeowner's only covers $1,000 for yard equipment...

Agreed that the KCC policy is a good deal. The only concern I have is when I'm deep into my contract. During the first year, assuming it's stolen, then I probably win. The insurance will pay off the unit and I'll just get another. But in the later years of the contract I'll be "right side up" on the remaining payments and I could "lose" if it's stolen. Of course by then I hope to have the house finished and we'll add property insurance at that time.
