the sound of the engine should clue you into the cause of the cutoff.
a safety switch will cause instant cutoff..just like cutting off the key.
bad fuel delivery will be a sputter and die situation.
Watch carefully... it is easy to not be aware of lifting yourself out of the seat sufficiently to allow the seat deadman switch to trip...happens to me often when i lean forward to see bucket above cab roof.
if it will sit and idle for a long time without you in the seat, then I vote for a safety cutoff....
