Kubota KX121 safety lockout

So my left hand red handle safety lockout lever quit locking out the controls. Everything is still able to work when fully up. I know there is a switch somewhere but on first look, I am not finding it. Parts diagram doesn't show this kind of detail, or at least not for me. Has any of you ran into this before and can point me to the right place? Thanks in advance.

Since no one seems to be responding, here is a little more info. It does eventually lock out everything after about a minute you hear a click of a solenoid and it does the job. But this should happen as soon as you pull up the lever as it does do with the right lever.

I don't have an answer for you, and it seems that nobody else does either. May have to ask the service manager at your local dealer.

Most have a simple 12 volt plunger that moves with the safety lock and left stick console. Usually you can access the plunger by taking the console cover(s) off. I just had my safety console apart cleaning it up a few days ago. 4 Phillips machine screws and it all came apart. Kubota U45 here.

I have the shop manual and I believe it covers your machine as well. The book is up at the shop or I would look now. I will take a look at it tomorrow and post back.

I have a New Holland/Case mini. not the same but should work the same. There is a pressure switch underneath the assembly the handle is connected to. Sounds like its full of contaminents and needs to be replaced.

You could just order the switch. When you get it you will know what to look for. Should be a simple swap if there isnt a lot of stuff in the way.

I did get a chance to take a look at the shop manual. It does cover your machine. The plunger is under the left control and safety lock lever just like mine. That plunger applies 12v to the two solenoids on the upper aft side of the hydraulic tank. You can open the cowling and your side window and listen for the click of the solenoid.

You can also pull apart either of the two connectors that go to the solenoids and put a tester on there to see if/when they are getting the 12v signal.

Likely a sticky plunger in the safety lock lever but it could also be a sticky solenoid.

Wow, loaded the U45 this morning and went to a job. Fired it up and wouldn't you know it, my controls wouldn't unlock. I tested and have 12v at the solenoid connector but no click or unlock. I noticed the wires look a little sketchy right at the solenoid so maybe one is broken inside the insulation. Lucky it was still on the trailer so I took it back and brought the backhoe to get the job done.

Soon as I got home this evening I tried the U45 again and no luck. I unplugged the connector and plugged it back in and then it worked. I'll try to figure it out this weekend and post back.

As soon as the controls wouldn't unlock at the job site I immediately thought of this thread.
