I have a Kubota L245 two wheel drive tractor that does everything I ask it to... except for one problem. I have been trying to get a subsoiler to dig in and actually make a cut, but the lift arms won't go lower than 15 inches off the ground. The right arm linkage is adjustable, but the left arm linkage is not. Why is that? How long should the left lifting arm linkage (Stabilizer?) be?
Mine is about 15 1/2 inches, but it looks like it needs linkages that would be 18 inches in order to get the lift arms down to about 4 inches off the ground. Anybody know how long the left linkage should be?
I replaced the fixed one with a spare top link I had laying around, and with both linkages extended out to 18 inches, I got the correct deployment of the subsoiler, and it dug into the ground as it is supposed to. But why would Kubota make a tractor linkage that is not adjustable? Strange....
I will really appreciate an answer to this. I'm stumped.
