2017 Kubota L2501
Hello everyone, I'm new here to the forum and also new to the tractor world. I have a new 2017 Kubota L2501 with LA525 FEL, landpride FDR1672 mower and a Buhler Farm King 500 snowblower. I was actualy wanting a skid steer of some sort because I didn't know much about tractors, but my father inlaw, being a farmer, convinced quite quickly how handy a tractor would be when he GAVE me the above unit. Needless to say I was extremly excited and still am. It is going to come in real handy on my small acerage. I never realized how handy the 3 point hitch will be as well as the PTO. The FEL has the quick attach skid steer mount so I have been looking at all the stuff that I would like to have. That being said, it brings me to my question. Let me just say first off that I know very little about hydraulics, but I am learning. I would like to add a set of remote hydraulics to the FEL as well as to the rear of the tractor for any possible impements I might aquire. I will never be using the front remote and the back remote at the same time so I was thinking of installing one operating control valve and a diverter to switch from the front to the back. Would this work. I have done a ton of research on tying in the new control valve into the existing FEL hydraulics, so I think I have that figured out. I'm just unclear of where to go from here. Would I come out of the pressure port on the new valve to the diverter, then from the one port on the diverter to the front and the other to the back. Is this correct. Would I actually need a diverter valve being that I am using only one of the remotes at a time. Sorry for all the questions, just trying to learn.

Thinking some more on this, and a bit more research, my main reason for adding remotes is for firewood processing and I want to add a grapple on my bucket for logs and use the rear for a log slitter. I don't want to have to disconnect the grapple every time I use the log splitter so I will have to install a diverter valve. Just for clarification, this is what I THINK I have to do. Be gentle on me as I am new to hydraulics.
1. Remove the power beyond hose on the existing FEL valve. "BY" port.
2. Run a line from this power beyond "BY" port to the pressure "P" port on the new control valve.
3 Hook the existing power beyond line to the power beyond "BY" port on the new control valve.
4. From the two working "A" and "B" ports on the new control valve, run 2 lines to the two in ports of the diverter valve.
5. From each of the two out ports on the diverter valve, run two line to the front and the rear of the tractor.
6. Run a line from the return to tank "T" port on the new control valve and tee it into the return to tank "T" line on the existing FEL valve.
I'm not familiar with diverter valves so I hope I have it correct.

For the control valve I will need a tandom center valve, so that the "A" and "B" ports are blocked and the "P" and "T" ports are open (connected) while in the center position. Correct.

Does this sound correct or do I have it all screwed up

I run a grabber and tree puller off the front remotes . On the back I have hyd top link and other stuff I run off the rear remotes. I only have one set in the back and just unplug my top link. I use the remote valve for both of my tractors. Keep in mind you can T the work ports but not the pressure. I only use either the front or the rear at a time, so works good for me.
