I have a l260 kubota that has no oil pressure,my question is ,when I took the inspection plate off the crankcase, there is no oil pickup tube. how does the oil get to the oil pump?
Hey Fred - welcome to TBN -
The L260 is not a widely known model - but there are some members who may have the knowledge you're looking for. I noticed this thread that has a picture of the oil pressure sender. Instead of the light, did you try a pressure gauge? My Kubotas don't have inspection plates that would give a view of the crankcase or oil pickup - on some engines the pump is mounted in the middle area, mostly submerged, with a flat round inlet about the size of a catfood can. The only way I've ever seen one without taking off oil pan (big job on a tractor) is with the oil drained, looking through the drain hole. Maybe you can send PM's to the other posters. Good luck.
