I have a 1970 L285 Kubota diesel tractor, it takes some cranking even in the summer to get it to start. It runs fine after it starts, so my question is, the manual says the glow plugs should read 1.5 ohms, mine read 2.2 ohms, would that make any difference in the performance of the glow plugs? Could the injectors need cleaning and should I put anything in the fuel to help clean them? Thanks for any replies.

How's your valve clearences? I had a Kubota powered skid steer do that. Valves were too tight.
