I have put 20 hours on the used Kubota L2900 I bought last September. I was really set on buying a HST tractor, but this one came along and was in mint condition. I figured the GST trans would be an OK compromise and for the most part it has been working out fine. My question is how to manage the throttle speed. The tractor has a lever on the column and a foot pedal. I have been keeping the column throttle at minimal setting, about 800 rpm. I then use the foot throttle to rev up to accommodate the work at hand. The only time I raise the column throttle is when I need a fixed rpm to run the backhoe. I am curious how other L2900 owners work the throttle.
